We stock non-slip mosaic tiles & glass mosaic with anti-slip properties
Non-slip mosaic tiles, mosaic stones made of ceramic or natural stone or glass mosaic are used almost everywhere these days. In stairwells in saunas, steam baths and other wet areas in spas, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, in hotels, restaurants and canteens, etc. This is understandable, as they are not only visually appealing, but also very easy to clean. Only one problem remains: The DANGER OF SLIPPING!!!
We have solved the problem for you! We have mosaic tiles with anti-slip properties. The mosaics are coated with an anti-slip surface that gives your floor an R10 rating in both dry and wet conditions.
Slip and slip resistance is crucial for safe walking on floor coverings.
Non-slip slip resistance, slip resistance, slip resistance - what is it?
Slip-resistant surfaces are the best guarantee for effective accident prevention. To assess safety, floor coverings for commercial areas are divided into the assessment groups "R 9 to R 13":
- R 9 stands for a low "static friction value" and is recommended for normal private use.
Slip-resistant up to an angle of inclination of 3° to 10° on the inclined plane.
- R 10 stands for a normal "static friction value", slip-resistant up to an angle of inclination of 10° to 19°
is recommended for "barrier-free".
The letters A, B and C, where applicable, indicate rating groups for wet barefoot areas:
A for dry floors, B for wet floors and C for swimming pools.
Incidentally, every increase in stability is also associated with greater roughness of the surface and therefore possibly higher costs for cleaning the floor tiles. This is why "R9" or even "R10" are actually advisable standards for living and working areas subject to normal traffic.
